Nobody puts Dopey in a corner

Hi folks!

On friday night i took another trip to the theatre!  This time i went to see the classic Dirty Dancing!

This film is really a favourite of mine, such a classic love story and also full of amazing dancing - my favourite past time!!!! The theatre was decorated so well including some lovely pink bunting!

I really was excited to see the show!! Couldn't wait for it to start i was on the edge of my seat.....

I could tell it would be such a great show from the start by the record player on stage.....lots of great music!  We also had some fantastic seats, i had such a great view, i really am just so lucky to have some of these experiences in my life!

For those of you who haven't seen this film it is a love story between a dancer/entertainer Johnny and a young woman called Baby but her real name is Frances!  She is a good girl who falls in love with fly guy johnny...i wont tell you how it ends, you really should watch this film!  There is a lot of dancing which really suits me as i love to cut a rug!  All of the dancers were so talented!

After such a great first half and lots of dancing i chilled out in the theatre bar and grabbed a quick drink with my dear friends....cheers!

This is the iconic end scene where Johnny and Baby perform a dance to the classic 'i've had the time of my life', this is such a great song the soundtrack for this show is amazing!

They sing a great song in the show called Kellerman's Anthem, such a catchy song!  There was so much cool merchandise for the show....

I looked at this t-shirt because it had such an iconic quote from the show on the front, but it was a little big...

I ended up getting this cool badge which fitted perfect! 

I truly did have the time of my life.....see what i did there folks! hehe what a joker! This show really inspired me with some of their dance moves!!  Such an upbeat and fun show!

Rude Boy...

Hi everyone!


How have we all been this past while?! Hope everyone is well, took a wee break from the world wide web but i'm back!  Thought i would tell you about a recent concert show i attended.  I went to see the talented singer Rihanna!  I met up with some good friends and we headed to a place called the S.E.C.C.

The venue was very big, think it was the biggest place i have ever been to..... actually no this was the biggest place i've ever been when i went to see Enrique which you can read about in another post on the blog give it a read if you haven't already!!

After a short wait it was show time.... she arrived on a huge pink military tank, i'm pretty sure this wasn't your regular army tank however as it shot t-shirts into the whole crowd!!  

Her outfit choices were very unusual, a lot of the time she didn't wear any trousers....i would never find my friend snow white dressed like that!

After a few songs she did cover up with a cape though! I was very worried for her as the winter weather is fast approaching!

She sang some of her biggest hits 'only girl', 'man down', 'don't stop the music' and 'whats my name'....Dopey?! hahaha i kid!  At one point she slowed her songs right down and rose right up above the stage!  I have never saw anything like it - really quite breathtaking!!  Thought i would dress down for the concert, but i was still keeping it up to date with my colour palette as we were both wearing the same colour!  You really think she would get her own style! hehe!

After seeing her rise above the stage i thought i had seen it all.. then she sang on top of a piano!  What a performer!  I really was just swept away with what my eyes were seeing!

I have saved the best till last, during her show she played a special drum set near where my group of nearest and dearest were dancing the night away!  Sorry the photos are so blurry my friends, i just couldn't resist dancing all night, what a great work out too!

She then threw her drumstick into the audience  (which i feel is very dangerous my friends, as someone could have been hurt by it!) But anyway, guess who was lucky enough to catch it.......

Cannot believe my luck of catching it....wheeeeeeee!

Had a busy week this week folks, but on Friday i'm off to the theatre i'll give you a clue what i'm going to see.......

A friend called Dale

Hey everyone!


Hope you are all well this week!!  This week i attended a leaving night for a dear friend Lucy Loo - one of the kindest people i have met....except Snow White of course!  Whilst i was out i met up with an old friend - calls himself Dale!

Myself and Dale go way back, however sometimes he can be very irritating - he is good company in small doses...... there is something a little strange about him, he is always shouting 'exterminate'....weird!  The background music here is 'Jealousy' by William Young, which is quite appropriate as Dale is very jealous of my celebrity lifestyle....

Even though he can be very annoying we do have some fun times!!  Even though he acts tough he is a softie at heart!!  We love larking about!

I have been following a programme on television called 'Steps-The reunion'.  I was a big fan of them back in the day... if truth be told they inspired me to follow my love of dance!!  They have been a big influence on my dress this week......

Song of the week is Maroon 5, 'moves like jagger'.

This is such a catchy song, in the actual music video the main singer Adam has some really great dance moves.  I always feel inspired to dance when i watch it....

Passion for fashion..

Hey y'all!


How are you this sunday evening?!? I hope your weekend has been filled with fun times!!  


After treating myself to some new clothes a few weeks ago i have really become interested in trends and fashion!  This weekend myself and dear friend Pip (who also has a passion for fashion) caught up on the latest looks for this fall....

We also looked at the latest looks from London Fashion Week....

Pip then persuaded me into having a mini fashion show...

Lights, Camera, Action......

This look is very edgy, my denim trousers have a chain accessory hanging from them, very handy for keeping my wallet and keys safe!

I really love this jacket, such a great colour for winter.....

This tartan look shirt is a very big look for this winter apparently, i'm happy with that as i really do think this shirt is very smart and works really well with my denim trousers and my chino trousers....

I think it is also good to accessorise your looks, it really brings everything together, i love this oversized bag.

I can fit everything inside, including my gym clothes and a football!...Action shot!

My final look is inspired by khaki and natural tones!  Pip thought they worked well with my purple hat!  Also i really loves these shoes, i have been told these types of shoes are called brogues, they are a great gold colour!  P told me that a woman called Vivienne Westwood makes plastic shoes just like these...who would have thought!

Pip (pea in pod) got a little caught up in all the fashion too......

Milan fashion week starts today, wonder what trends will unfold! Until next time......

Song of the week

Hey folks,


Sorry for the lack of song of the week for the past few weeks, i have just been very busy enjoying the end of summer!  Since i have just shared my workout routine with you all, my song of the week this week comes from The Saturdays.  The song is 'All Fired Up'.

I am actually going to see the band in a pop concert at the end of this year!  This is a great song, just makes me want to dance! It's also a great motivation song for when i'm working out too!!

Four more

Hi everyone,


Hope you have all had a lovely week!  This morning i sat down to watch the Great North Run, i always find these races so inspiring!  I do like to keep fit myself though....

I get my work out clothes on and i like to do some weight training!  I like to start off with the lighter weights, no point in pushing yourself too hard folks, everything in moderation!

Once i feel comfortable i like to switch it up using heavier weights....

I do really enjoy staying in shape, but i also like my treat days, nothing better than treating yourself knowing you have worked hard for it!!  Hope everyone is happy and healthy!

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine

Hi folks!


Lovely to see you again!!  First of all i just want to say a huge hello and thank you to new reader Lisa!! 


I now want to share with you another adventure from my action packed summer!  I visited a place called Benidorm!  We took an aeroplane there, i have never flew before so i was a little nervous!  I had a little trouble with my ears but just a few hours and we were there....fantastic so quick!! First thing i did was have some fun in the sun!  I did have a high sun factor on though-always be sensible folks! 

Had a few giggles beside the pool.....can you spot me?!

I'm here! Such great fun!  Just keeping cool in the shade!

I have heard the nightlife there is fantastic, but i'm not a big party animal so i was a little nervous! But all my worries disappeared when we stumbled across this....

I am a huge fan of Michael Buble, what a great guy such a great singer and dancer!! Love some of his hits like Home, haven't met you yet and lost!  My friends tried to make me believe he was theee actual Mr Buble..... such a bunch of jokers! hahah!  

Once we had watched the show i couldn't resist having a ride on this motorcycle...

I had such a fantastic night, but it was a late one so the next day i just chilled out by the pool...

What a great view, this is the life!

Because i wasn't used to the heat i had to keep myself amused!

It was such a great holiday, nice and relaxing and can't believe i managed to watch my favourite singer! Just superb!  I did bring home a souvenir, Sangria is a popular drink in Benidorm but this is non alcoholic - always make the right choice folks!  Also brought home a pair of castanets - Ole!
